Branding a world heritage site
Charlotte Square
Charlotte Square makes up the western part of Edinburgh’s Georgian New Town — a designated UNESCO World Heritage site. With plans for the extensive renovation and redevelopment of the square, our brief was to create a name, identity and marketing materials for what would become the city's preeminent offices.

The Charlotte Square Collection
Launched as The Charlotte Square Collection, the name evokes the rare privilege of joining this limited edition architectural set. Drawing on its architectural pedigree, a smart portfolio case was constructed with archival boxboard to hold the collection, and ties with traditional waxed string.

The marque
We were inspired by the octagonal shape of the square's private central gardens and the interlocking Charlotte Square Collection 'CSC' initials.

Bespoke type
Working closely with Monotype, our customised version of their typeface Avenir uses the bevelled accents of the carver’s chisel found across the site.
