Social Media Manager
Experienced social media manager to bring the wonder back to Earls Court
About
Where the Earls Court Exhibition Centres once stood is now Central London’s largest cleared development opportunity. As this derelict 40-acre site is redeveloped, Earls Court will be reinvented into a place where everyone can discover the transformative effect of wonder.
With awe-inspiring meanwhile installations on site – from the BBC Earth Experience to Padel courts to an extensive public art programme – you can already taste that future here today. Long term, Earls Court is a place addressing the deeper questions, like creating a spiritual home for clean innovation and an ecosystem for London’s cultural talent.
DNCO is the creative studio for culture and place. We believe design has the power to bring people together and transform what places can do for communities. We are working with the Earls Court team to communicate their vision for the area’s reinvention.
We are looking for an experienced social media manager to join our team and lead Earls Court’s channels through the transition from consultation phase to London destination.
What you would be doing
Creating and posting content on Instagram, LinkedIn, X, Facebook (January 2024 onwards) and TikTok (summer 2024 onwards)
Working with the Earls Court team to stay abreast of their busy calendar of events and activities, then pitching concepts for maximising their exposure on social media
Managing and tracking performance of paid social campaigns
Community building through responding to reader queries, proactive following strategies and engaging with the local community
Interviewing and gathering content on the ground in Earls Court at least two days a week, working with photographers and videographers
Work closely with the Earls Court team and Consumer PR agency to maximise activities on site to grow Earls Court channels and get footfall to site
Come up with compelling social media campaigns
Who you are
Experienced social media manager with a strong track record, comfortable with working independently and setting direction for social channels
Experience working with place brands is a plus; we’re also open to candidates in adjacent fields such as tourism, arts and culture or science
Earls Court’s channels need to continue to engage local audiences while attracting fame across London, so you should bring strong instincts for both local concerns and the flare and creativity to reach beyond the immediate locality
Proficient in social listening across channels to pick up on trends or opportunities, follow and engage with appropriate accounts and reshare stories
Versatile experience across different channels, ideally with both B2B and B2C audiences
Ability to collaborate with photographers and videographers to bring your vision for content to life
Able to commute to Earls Court easily, and ideally based in or familiar with West London and the Earl’s Court area
Excellent and accurate copywriting skills
Basic InDesign proficiency and photography skills a bonus
